Lean by design
Zero physical overhead. No shop, no yard, no depot. The firm is built to answer small federal buys that a warehouse operator is too heavy to chase.
Atlantic Fleet Industrial, LLC · Defense logistics
A lean federal supplier of fasteners and industrial hardware. We coordinate U.S. manufacturers and 3PL partners to fulfill DoD micro-purchases and small acquisitions — without a depot of our own and without handling the freight.
01 — Enterprise model
AFI exists to move DoD and DLA requirements from broadcast to door without standing up a warehouse or putting cargo in our own hands.
Zero physical overhead. No shop, no yard, no depot. The firm is built to answer small federal buys that a warehouse operator is too heavy to chase.
Domestic fastener and hardware manufacturers make the part. We match the requirement to a plant that already produces it — then we get out of the way of the mill.
Specialized logistics subcontractors pick, pack, and ship to the requiring activity. AFI never takes personal possession of the freight.
02 — Capabilities
Defense logistics distribution — not fabrication, not field crews, not a warehouse with a website.

Fast response to simplified-acquisition opportunities broadcast through Defense Logistics Agency channels — the orders that punish delay, not overhead.

Packaged buys above the micro-purchase threshold, sourced and sequenced so the requiring activity receives a complete, documented delivery.

Direct coordination with U.S. fastener and hardware manufacturers. We match the spec to a plant that already makes the part — we do not pretend to run the mill.

Specialized third-party logistics partners pick, pack, and ship. AFI never takes personal possession of cargo.

Packing documentation, manufacturer certs, and a clean invoice trail. The record is part of the delivery.

Fasteners and industrial hardware destined for DoD requiring activities — including Atlantic seaboard fleet and shore support.
03 — The chain
Three parties. One coordinator. The cargo never sits in an AFI building because there is not one.
01DoD via DLA
Micro-purchases and small acquisitions as they are broadcast. AFI is built to catch the ones that are too small for a warehouse firm and too real to miss.
02U.S. manufacturers
The fastener or hardware item is bought from a domestic manufacturer. No speculative inventory. No shop floor of our own.
033PL subcontractors
A logistics partner moves the order to the ship-to. Zero personal cargo-handling. Zero warehouse on the books.
04 — Process
DLA and DoD channels surface the requirement. We qualify NSN, quantity, ship-to, and date against what domestic plants can actually make.
A U.S. manufacturer is confirmed. Spec, certs, and lead time are agreed before a 3PL is named.
The partner picks, packs, and ships to the requiring activity. AFI coordinates. We do not touch the freight.
Documentation, invoice, and delivery confirmation. The file is as important as the part.
05 — Design rules
AFI is not a lighter version of a warehouse. It is a different machine: automated DoD/DLA opportunity, domestic sourcing, 3PL fulfillment.
No warehouse, no yard, no shop. The enterprise is lean by design — capital stays in sourcing speed, not square footage.
AFI does not take personal possession of government freight. Specialized 3PL subcontractors fulfill the move.
Components come from U.S. plants. We are the industrial middleman, not a trading desk for anonymous inventory.
The model is built for micro-purchases and small acquisitions — the buys that reward a firm that can answer without standing up a depot.
06 — Questions

08 — Operations
NSN or spec, quantity, required date, and ship-to. Contracting officers, manufacturers, and 3PL partners are all welcome. If it is not a DLA-shaped buy, we will tell you.
